Education & Youth Development AmeriCorps Programs
Advise MI 
Focuses: Education, Youth, and College Access
Service Term Options: Full Time
Service Locations: Beecher and Genesee, Hamady, Lakeville, Davison, and Bentley High Schools
Advise MI Advisers serve alongside school counselors and other school staff to support and guide high school seniors as they develop a postsecondary plan and create path to realizing their dreams. Advisers will serve in select high schools, particularly schools in communities with low college-going rates.

Boys and Girls Club of Greater Flint VISTA Program 
Focuses: Youth, Program Development, and Capacity Building
Service Term Options: Full-Time
Service Locations: Boys and Girls Club of Greater Flint
The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Flint is seeking to fill the following positions to support their mission to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential.
The Community & Program VISTA will work to improve program and community outreach in Greater Flint. The member will focus on creating partnerships and increasing community engagement in Club activities and programs. Apply to the position here!
The Resource Development VISTA will directly support the development team in planning special events and fundraisers, engaging with donors, and community marketing. This position will help maintain the capacity of the Club to continue its essential programming. Apply to the position here!

Flint Community School Corps 
Focuses: Education, Mentoring, and Community Engagement
Service Term Options: Part-Time
Service Locations: Flint Community Schools, International Academy of Flint, and Flint Cultural Center Academy
Mentor Flint students with Flint Community School Corps! Student Success Coordinators meet one-on-one with 10-15 students twice a week to learn about their strengths and challenges, build mentorships, and support their academic success throughout the school year.

MEC Reading Corps 
Focuses: Education, Youth, and Literacy
Service Term Options: Full-Time
Service Location: International Academy of Flint
As a MEC Reading Corps Interventionist, you'll help students in kindergarten through third grade to become better readers. With great training and onsite coaching, we'll prepare you to work one-on-one or in small groups to help kids develop their reading skills and confidence!

MEC Math Corps
Focuses: Education, Youth, and Basic Math Skills
Service Term Options: Full-Time
Service Location: International Academy of Flint
As an MEC Math Corps Interventionist, you'll help kids develop basic math and problem-solving skills using evidence-based, scripted interventions. As an interventionist, you'll help struggling students in 4-8 improve their skills and get on track with math. No experience? No problem. With great training and on-site coaching, we'll prepare you to work with pairs of students to build fundamental math skills and confidence.

Community Health AmeriCorps Programs
Flint Urban Safety and Health Corps 
Focuses: Early Education, Food Access, Medical Management, Community Safety, and Behavioral Health
Service Term Options: Full Time and Half Time
Service Locations: Educare Flint, Hurley Food FARMacy, Pediatric Public Health Initiative, UM Flint Department of Public Safety, Flint and Genesee Literacy Network, Edible Flint, Asbury CDC, and Voices for Children Advocacy Center
Are you passionate about serving the Flint community? Ensuring residents have access to water crisis recovery resources? Flint Urban Safety and Health Corps members provide programming related to food security and nutrition, behavioral and developmental health, early education, crime and blight prevention, early education, and medical management through local nonprofit organizations as strategies toward long-term recovery from the water crisis.

FoodCorps 
Focuses: Healthy Food Access and Education

Service Locations: Flint Community Schools
FoodCorps Service Members implement evidence-based strategies to help schools become healthier places to grow and learn. Most of a service member’s time is spent teaching in the classroom and garden. Members lead hands-on lessons, influence healthy school meals, and build a schoolwide culture of health.

United Way Food Security for BIPOC Communities AmeriCorps VISTA Program
Focuses: Healthy Food Access
Service Term: Full-Time, Part-Time
Service Locations: United Way of Genesee County
The Food Security VISTA will build, enhance, and expand efforts to increase the number of Flint families with access to healthy foods. The VISTA will work with United Way of Genesee County's partner organizations to address issues of food security, build stronger community relationships, and develop community awareness about available resources.

Up2Us
Focuses: Youth, Healthy Futures, and Physical Education
Service Term: Full-Time, Part-Time
Service Locations: Flint Community Schools
Up2Us Coaches will be working directly with school partners throughout Flint. This position will be primarily responsible for coaching a variety of sports throughout the school year in an afterschool setting. Coaches mentor students through sports and promote physical activity during the school day through programs such as Brain Breaks.

Neighborhood Development AmeriCorps Programs
CEDAM AmeriCorps 
Focuses: Community Development, Gardening
Service Term Options: Full-Time
Service Locations: Crim Fitness Foundation
Interested in engaging with community partners, organizing neighborhood volunteer events, and supporting local school gardens? The Crim Fitness Foundation is recruiting a Garden Resource Coordinator to serve across 9 Flint School Gardens. As the Garden Resource Coordinator, you will ensure that the food grown at school gardens is utilized by students, families, and neighbors and school gardens become community spaces for educational programming.

Capacity Building to End Homelessness AmeriCorps VISTA Program

Service Locations: Shelter of Flint, Communities First, Inc
The Capacity Building to End Homelessness AmeriCorps VISTA program places AmeriCorps VISTA members, serving one-year terms, with service agencies across the state. Members will complete activities in four service areas: community awareness and engagement, building and expanding partnerships and networks, financial resources, and volunteer recruitment and management.

Community Resource Developer VISTAs build community partnerships, recruit volunteers, and develop resources for their assigned Flint Community School. Habitat for Humanity VISTA Program 
Focuses: Community Development
Service Term Options: Full-Time
Service Locations: Genesee County Habitat for Humanity
The Habitat for Humanity VISTA will create, document, and implement a plan for donor engagement, tracking, and recognition in order to increase the overall donor experience and buy-in to Habitat's mission. They will build sustainable solutions in a community, gain valuable hands on experience and prepare for your future.

LISC AmeriCorps Members serve in vital roles in Flint supporting community development initiatives. LISC AmeriCorps places passionate, dedicated members with community development groups in Flint neighborhoods.
- Active Communities Program Assistant with the Crim Fitness Foundation: The Active Communities Program Assistant will support Bike Clubs in 10 Flint neighborhoods, attend neighborhood block club meetings, and perform traffic/pedestrian safety assessments.
